Using the U17-5 in Tamworth
Tamworth grew from 25,000 people in 1961 to 64,000 in 1981, so much of it is post-war semis, 38.5% of homes in the 2021 Census. Their side drives suit the U17-5 for extension footings and new driveways.
The Tame and Anker meet just south of the town centre, and the borough has a long flooding history. In low-lying streets, a test pit tells you whether a soakaway will drain.
East of the town, Polesworth and Dordon sit over the old Warwickshire coalfield. Check the mining risk map before footings there.
Before the U17-5 arrives in Tamworth
- Measure the side access: more than 1.05 m clear.
- Check the mining map if you are in Polesworth or Dordon.
- Run a LinesearchbeforeUdig (LSBUD) search.
- Plan for a week if the job could overrun: £295 ex VAT.
